#2- Key Item for Spring 2012

In the world of menswear, accessories are making a big plash. Casual youth and 1970's are recurring themes. Key items such as fedoras, scarves, jewelry and sunglasses will be seen on the runways.

The traditional fedora is key for 70's look- is looks is relaxed with a narrower, pushed-back brim and crumpled crown.

Soft accessories play a vital role in this season as well - from striped football scarves to the collegiate ties. Knitted beanies are prominent here too , and for next winter they arrive either shrunken or elongated, in a play on proportion.

A major trend that emerged is chains and trinket pendants with strong commercial viability.

Circular and squared eye wear will be big for 2012. While the season is perhaps tight on new shape directions, two strong material/colour directions emerge - classic tortoiseshell and an emphasis on creamy neutrals.
